release process

The average release time in Albuquerque

is 6 to 8 hours.

After the bail bond agreement is signed we e-mail the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, Bonding Division. The Court will on average take 30 minutes to 3 hours to prepare the bond. Once we sign the bail bond with the Court they will send the information to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center.

The Jail will notify the inmate he has posted bail and transfer him to releasing. Over a video feed with the Court he will need to sign acknowlede receiving his conditions of release and notice of next hearing. This on average takes  3 to 5 hours. Inmates will then be transported to Albuquerque and dropped off on Roma between 4th and 5th. Inmates who had family/friends sign a waiver of transport at the jail will be released at the same time.
